Podgorica, Montenegro (21 June, 2011) – Prime Minister Igor Lukšić thanked UNICEF Montenegro representative Noala Skinner for her commitment and excellent results attained in terms of child care and raising awareness of people with special needs in Montenegro.
“You have helped a lot and made goals attainable. We have managed to cross the critical point and make the Montenegrin society more humane,” PM Lukšić remarked, adding the Government will continue to implement reforms in education and health, and to promote anti-discrimination policy at all levels.
Noala Skinner, the first UNICEF representative to Montenegro after the restoration of independence, thanked for the Government and the Prime Minister’s support to many UNICEF projects that resulted in better living conditions for children with special needs and their integration into Montenegrin society.
“UNICEF will continue to operate in Montenegro and we look forward to continued partnership and cooperation with the Government,” the UNICEF representative underlined during her farewell visit to Prime Minister Igor Lukšić.
