Job Vacancy: Resident Twinning Advisor Assistant (RTAA)
The Austrian Standards Institute (ASI)/Association française de Normalisation (AFNOR) consortium is assisting the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism in implementing an EU funded Twinning Project “Achieving highest safety and technical quality of construction” for 18 months commencing in May 2012 in Podgorica.
For this project we require an Assistant to the Resident Twinning Advisor (RTAA) to perform important tasks for a successful implementation. This is an interesting and challenging opportunity for an individual to gain experience in working with EU procedures, EU and Montenegrin officials.
Job Description:
1. Assisting the RTA in all delegated tasks,
2. Providing general support to the RTA related to project and office management,
3. Assisting international short term experts during their missions in Montenegro,
4. Establishing and maintaining regular contacts with representatives of Montenegrin authorities and other stakeholders,
5. Drafting of written material relevant for the project in Montenegrin and English language,
6. Occasionally interpreting in meetings and conversations and translating documents from English to Montenegrin and vice versa;
7. Assisting with organisation of training programmes
8. Performing research and compiling background material on topics relevant for the project.
Essential Skills
1. Excellent command of English and Montenegrin, both oral and written;
2. Good IT skills for email and Microsoft Office packages;
3. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with a dedication to the project;
4. A university degree.
Desirable Skills
1. Ability to interpret and translate as required;
2. Understanding of the political, legal and administrative situation in Montenegro;
3. Relevant experience of similar project administration
Remuneration package:
1. A salary of €1000 per month;
2. Annual leave based on 2 days/ month worked;
3. Based at Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Podgorica.
