Trainings on EU standards and financial management
On 26-29 May the Twinning project “Strengthening Rural Development Program under IPARD in Montenegro” organized a training of future technical bodies in the process of IPARD program implementation on European Union standards in hygiene of foodstuffs, food contact materials, food labeling, additives and food enzymes.
The training was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health, Administration for Inspection Affairs, Veterinary Directorate, Institute for Public Health and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and was held by experts Ms. Ilona Drulytė from the National Institute for Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment of Lithuania and Mr. Frans Henderikx from the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority.
During the same week, the project also organized a training on financial management and verification, with simulation of financial procedures in the IPARD Agency and the National Fund of the Ministry of Finance, with participation of departments for authorization of projects, execution of payments, accounting and internal audit of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The training was held by Ms. Dubravka Flinta, head of the National Fund of Croatia, and Ms. Kertti-Airin Pärli, finance director of the Estonian Agricultural Registers and Information Board.
