Famous Montenegrin film maker and theater director Nikola Vukcevic is a host and narator in a short film on Montenegro for the European Commission Enlargement Directorate project website on the people and culture of Southeast Europe (http://www.southeast-europe.eu/videos/discover-montenegro-with-nikola-vukcevic.html).

The film features the author travelling around Montenegro and introducing the visitors to the hospitality of Montenegro and to three important cities in Montenegro: Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage city rich in culture and multi-ethnic historical influence and links to Europe through Venice and Austria-Hungary; the ancient royal capital Cetinje, with its inspiring Slavic and international cultural richness, political history, and significance for Montenegrin statehood and education; and Podgorica, the lively state capital and a cultural and economic hub that continues to inspire artists such as Nikola.

The film also addresses the issue of Montenegro’s hard work to move forwards on its path to the EU, creating new-generation people such as Nikola, the winner of the Best Director Award at the Rome film festival in 2006 for his film “A View from the Eiffel Tower.”

The aim of the film and of the website is to inform visitors about cultural activities in Southeast Europe.
