Montenegro creates stimulating environment for children with developmental disabilities, says UNICEF official

Montenegro has created a favourable and stimulating environment for children with developmental disabilities, UNICEF Montenegro Representative Noala Skinner said at the meeting with Minister for European Integration Gordana Djurovic on Monday. She acquainted Minister Djurovic with further UNICEF activities concerning Montenegro and expressed belief that the successful cooperation between Montenegro and the UNICEF would continue through the implementation of joint programs.

Minister Djurovic expressed satisfaction with Montenegro’s cooperation with the UNICEF and thanked Mrs Skinner for this important organisation’s support to Montenegro.

Having in mind that Montenegro is fully dedicated to creating a modern, democratic society based on respect for human rights, Minister Djurovic complimented on the campaign “Its about ability”, emphasizing that the rights of children with disabilities are fundamental human rights and their respect is the responsibility of the state of Montenegro and all its citizens.

Both sides agreed that Montenegro had made excellent progress towards European integration representing a reliable partner in promoting European values and goals both on regional and international plan.
