Montenegro and Russian Federation affirm good bilateral relations
Foreign Minister Milan Rocen met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Tuesday, October 26 for talks on topical international and bilateral issues, with a special emphasis on economic cooperation ahead of the 4th session of the Montenegrin-Russian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, scheduled for October 27.
The two ministers voiced readiness to modernize and further promote the key areas of bilateral cooperation, based on the long history of friendship between the two nations.
Foreign Minister Lavrov presented his Montenegrin counterpart with an award of the Russian Foreign Ministry for his personal contribution to the development of the Montenegrin-Russian relations.
Next year will mark 300th anniversary of the establishment of political ties between the two countries, on which occasion Foreign Minister Lavrov gladly accepted to visit Montenegro.
