Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic welcomed the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Montenegro Mrs Hafsa Abdulla Mohamed Sharif Alulama and wished her every success in her diplomatic mission in Podgorica, underling the significance of the newly opened Montenegrin Embassy in Abu Dhabi, which has created opportunities for excellent bilateral relations.
The efforts of the two countries’ ambassadors will pave the way to cooperation, especially in the areas of economy and investment, said PM Djukanovic, adding that the forthcoming agreements on foreign investment protection, avoidance of double taxation, air traffic and establishing a visa liberalization regime for official and diplomatic passports will also strengthen the bilateral relations.
Ambassador Hafsa Abdulla Mohamed Sharif Alulama spoke of her honour at being the first UAE Ambassador to Montenegro, highlighting that the UEA citizens and companies were increasingly interested in Montenegro and its investment and tourism potentials. She also noted the fact the Embassies in Podgorica and Abu Dhabi had started issuing visa documents, which would facilitate communication between the two countries.
