Montenegrin and German officials Luksic and Beyer discuss economic issues

“Montenegro’s Budget for 2011 is supposed to ensure regular functioning of state administration and is aimed to reduce public expenditures and deficit, which comes as a result of our prudent fiscal policy,” Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Igor Luksic said Tuesday, November 2, at the meeting with member of Bundestag’s Committee on International Relations and the Committee’s Rapporteur on Montenegro Peter Beyer.
DPM Luksic acquainted Mr Beyer with economic indicators, expected upward economic trends in 2010 and 2011, Montenegro’s progress toward the EU integration, results in combating organized crime and corruption, DIS establishment in managing IPA funds and other important issues.
Good economic relations between the two states have already been established, the two officials concluded, adding that there is still room for their enhancement, especially in the areas of development of small and middle-sized enterprises and investments.
