Montenegro ranks good on the World Bank Doing Business 2011 list

The World Bank has published the Doing Business Report 2011 (a report on ease of doing business) ranking Montenegro 66th among 183 economies examined.
According to the Report, Montenegro has implemented 3 reforms, which ranks it among 21 countries that have made most extensive reforms, whereas only 8 countries have implemented more. Furthermore, Montenegro succeeded in implementing the most extensive reforms in the region.
Reforms were identified in 3 indicators: starting a business, paying taxes and trading across borders.
In the area of starting a business, Montenegro improved its ranking by 34 positions, and it is ranked 51st. When it comes to trading across borders, Montenegro improved its ranking from 47th to 34th place in this year's Report. Montenegro also improved its ranking considerably with reference to the paying of taxes.
Other countries in the region were ranked in the following manner: Macedonia 38th, Slovenia 42nd, Bulgaria 51st, Romania 56th, Albania 82nd, Croatia 84th, Serbia 89th, Bosnia and Herzegovina 110th, and Kosovo 119th.
