Press Release: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mr. Igor Lukšić, PhD, met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Holland, H.E. Ronald van Dartel

The Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić and H.E. Ronald van Dartel have discussed the current economic and financial situation, measures implemented by the Government with the objective of improving the business environment, as well as the activities of the Ministry of Finance in terms of preparation for the Eurobonds project, as well as other current economic and financial issues. The Deputy Prime Minister informed the Ambassador about the new set of financial laws, which will improve the regulation of the financial system in Montenegro, stressing that the new laws will strengthen the role and functions of the Central Bank of Montenegro and provide greater independence and accountability of the Central Bank. Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić, thanked the Ambassador for the support and cooperation in a number of joint initiatives and projects, primarily the Dutch Constituency which is representing the interests of Montenegro with the IMF.
