Government sets up bank account for flood donations
Published on: Dec 9, 2010 • 10:37 PM Author: PR Bureau
The Montenegrin Government has set up a solidarity bank account where people from across the world can make donations for the flood-affected communities.
This autumn, Montenegro has been hit by unprecedented floods, forcing thousands to abandon their homes and causing massive damage to infrastructure and crops.
Twelve out of Montenegro’s 21 municipalities have been affected by the worst natural disaster since the devastating earthquake of 1979, and the national and local authorities are struggling to provide relief to the flood victims throughout the country.
However, the biggest challenges are yet to come after water drains away, leaving behind devastated homes and farmland and thousands of people with no livelihood.
Below are the bank account details and payment instructions.
