Montenegrin DPM and Chinese Ambassador pledge closer cooperation
Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Igor Luksic and Chinese Ambassador to Montenegro Zhi Zhaolin announced during their talks in Podgorica on Monday the singing of a Memorandum on cooperation in the fields of culture, education and health, as well as further strengthening of ties between the two countries, most notably in infrastructure, energy and tourism.
Montenegro and China maintain traditionally good and friendly relations, especially since the establishment of diplomatic relations four years ago, Ambassador Zhaolin underlined, presenting to DPM Luksic the idea of establishing the Institute for Culture, pointing out that culture is the best way of bringing people together.
The DPM emphasised the significance of the two countries’s good political relations that serve as a basis for enhancing economic cooperation, primarily through establishing free trade between Montenegro and the EU, based on which Montenegro could be used as a bridge for China’s cooperation with the EU countries.
