World Bank approves new Country Partnership Strategy for Montenegro

The World Bank approved on 31st January a new Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) for Montenegro that includes a US$215.7 million loan to support Montenegro’s policy priorities of strengthening the administrative capacity for EU accession and “environmental management.” The project span is the period 2011-2014 and it will focus on strengthening the financial sector, science and higher education investments and industrial waste management. If the CPS proves successful, it could be renewed in 2013.
