Establishing DIS of the EU funds in Montenegro in 2010

One of the important dimensions in the road towards the European Union (EU) is the introduction of the Decentralized Management of the EU funds and the conferral of management powers from the European Commission to Montenegrin institutions. The introduction of decentralized management, means that Montenegro will assume responsibilities in the implementation of the projects funded by the EU. However, the process of the DIS introduction takes time since it is extremely long and time consuming, thus requiring the direct involvement and the consensus of state institutions involved in the process of system development.
