Two persons suspected of smuggling large amounts of cocaine from South America to their Cetinje-based company “Inok” were apprehended Monday afternoon in a joint operation of the Montenegrin and German police dubbed “Konte” that also seized 300kg of cocaine.
Montenegro’s police body combating illicit drugs and smuggling performed a thorough international investigation in coordination with German authorities and the Montenegrin Customs Administration at the request of the Special Public Prosecutor for Organised Crime and Podgorica Higher Court’s investigative judge.
The investigation resulted in the apprehension of 300kg of cocaine found in a shipping container in the Hamburg port, used by “Inok” to transport assembly furniture. The police arrested two persons, aged 54 and 26, the owner and the CEO of “Inok” respectively, who are the main suspects in the case.
