DPM Lazović discuses opportunities for boosting closer economic ties of Montenegro with Central Europe and China

Budapest, Hungary (25 June 2011) – Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazović participated in Economic and Trade Forum in Budapest, which was dedicated to the relations of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
The Forum paid special attention to infrastructure development, as well as to investments in research and development in Central and Eastern Europe. The participants stressed the significance of the development of these fields in the Western Balkans and expressed interest of China and its companies to make a contribution to their economies.
During the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Lazović met with Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming. He expressed the Government's willingness to upgrade economic cooperation with China, particularly regarding transport infrastructure, energy, tourism and human resource development.
DPM Lazović also met with Hungarian Minister of National Development Tamás Fellegi to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries. Both sides agreed that priority should be given to cooperation in energy and tourism.
On this occasion, DPM Lazović invited business delegation of Hungary to visit Montenegro and thanked for the Hungarian assistance provided during its presidency of the EU.
On the margins of the business forum, DPM Lazović also met with Chinese and Hungarian Prime Ministers and heads of delegations of countries participating in the Forum.
