Montenegro dubbed good investment destination

Podgorica, Montenegro (26 July 2011) – Montenegro is a good investment destination and wishes to strengthen its economic ties with Israel, while both countries are interested in initiating new projects, today’s meeting between Prime Minister Igor Lukšić and the departing Ambassador of Israel Arthur Koll concluded.

Mr Koll said that the upcoming business and investment conference in Israel will introduce Montenegro to more Israeli investors: “I am certain that, when our investors discover all the business opportunities in Montenegro, our cooperation will be intensified.” In that respect he underlined that the recently signed economic cooperation agreements will herald more joint projects.

Prime Minister Lukšić underlined that the Government is making continuous efforts to improve the business environment and attract a diverse portfolio of foreign investors. “In that respect, we are very interested in intensifying cooperation with Israeli partners,” the PM said, adding that “we believe Montenegro is an example of a good investment destination and that there are plenty of opportunities for investment in the area of tourism and infrastructure.”

PM Lukšić thanked Ambassador Koll for his personal contribution to the development of relations between Montenegro and Israel during his mandate.
