Minister Vucinic received Rear Admiral Rühle

Minister of Defence Boro Vucinic received today Rear Admiral Joachim Georg Rühle, Knowledge Management Director at Joint Force Command Naples (JFC Naples).

Minister Vucinic informed his guest on the progress in the area of defence reform which Montenegro has made within achieving its strategic foreign policy goals - membership in the EU and NATO, on the end of the first cycle of MAP and other preparations for the Second Annual National Programme (ANP).

Minister stressed the importance of regional cooperation as a guarantee of stability in the region and informed Rear Admiral Rühle on the participation of the members of the Armed Forces of Montenegro in peacekeeping missions and operations which is a direct contribution of our country to global peace and stability.

Minister Vucinic emphasized that the visit of Rear Admiral Rühle is a follow-up of excellent cooperation with the NATO Joint Force Command Naples on sharing experiences and knowledge in the field of modernization of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, through expert staff meetings and participation in NATO exercises and activities that JFC Naples is in charge of.

Rear Admiral Rühle said that Montenegro has achieved remarkable results in reforming its defence system and that its contribution to peacekeeping missions and operations, particularly in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan, is very appreciated by the Allies.

"Given the size of its Armed Forces, Montenegro is one of the biggest contributors to this mission," said Rear Admiral Rühle and encouraged Montenegro to continue the reform process of its defence system, in which it can count on full support of JFC Naples in the future.

Rear Admiral Rühle also announced the visit of Admiral Samuel J. Locklear Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples.
