Tallinn, Estonia (30 August 2011) -- Estonia is a strong supporter of the EU and NATO enlargement and Montenegro’s membership in these organizations, and is ready to share its experience, Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip told the press following talks with his Montenegrin counterpart Igor Lukšić earlier today.

When it comes to the current economic situation, PM Ansip noted that Estonia and Montenegro are well prepared for the global financial crisis, as their state finances are in good shape, thanks to relatively small budgets deficits.

Bilateral relations between the two countries are good, the two prime ministers remarked, emphasising the need to advance economic ties, contractual bases and practical cooperation in other fields as well.

Prime Minister Lukšić in particular praised very good achievements in cooperation in IT sector between the two countries. Montenegro has already started implementing some aspects of the e-Government and can learn a lot from the Estonian experience, PM Lukšić concluded.
