Vilnius, Lithuania (1 September 2011) -- Lithuanian experience in accession negotiations with the EU and the way it uses the EU budget funds for further investments in infrastructure, health care and education development can be very useful for Montenegro’s path towards the EU and NATO membership, Prime Minister Igor Lukšić told the press following talks with his Lithuanian counterpart Andrius Kubilius earlier today.

PM Lukšić also expressed hope that, through the communication with potential Lithuanian investors, it will be possible to boost economic ties between the two countries, but at the same time make the Montenegrin economy more competitive, so that it can use all the potentials in the best possible way.

The Lithuanian Prime Minister praised Montenegro’s track record in the Euro-Atlantic path and wished the Montenegrin people all the success in its further integration endeavours.
