Conference of the representatives of the OSCE participating States and the OSCE Mission to Montenegro
Minister of Defence Boro Vucinic opened the Conference of the representatives of the OSCE participating States and the OSCE Mission to Montenegro.
In the introductory part of the conference, participants were also addressed by the Chief of the NATO and EU Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Dubravka Lalovic, Head of the Verification Centre in the Ministry of Defence Colonel Drazen Bozovic. Representatives of the OSCE participating States and the OSCE Mission in Montenegro were told about the organisation of the Armed Forces of Montenegro by the Chief of Staff in the General Staff Col. Zoran Lazarevic.
The Conference is an opening activity of the OSCE visit to the Air Force Base and the Army Brigade of the Armed Forces of Montenegro. Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Montenegro, with the support of the Ministry of Defence of Denmark, organizes a visit for 37 participants from 23 OSCE Participating States, in accordance with the obligations arising from the Document 1999.
Each OSCE Participating State is obliged to organise this visit once every five years, in order to strengthen mutual confidence measures, to increase the overall security in Europe as well as to increase the efficiency of arms control and to prevent illegal arms trafficking.
