DECISIVE STEP 02 begins in Niksic
Minister of Defence Boro Vucinic, opened the exercise "DECISIVE STEP 02" at the "13.jul" barracks in Niksic, through which the declared units of the Armed Forces of Montenegro will be evaluated on the concept of operational capacity (OCC) by the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept Evaluation and Feedback team. 274 members of the Armed Forces of Montenegro participate in this exercise.
The exercise was officially opened in the presence of the Chief of the Armed Forces of Montenegro Vice Admiral Dragan Samardzic and his associates, President of the Municipality of Niksic Mr. Nebojsa Radojicic, representatives of 23 OSCE Participating States, as well as representatives of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro and military diplomatic representatives to Montenegro.
Minister Vucinic welcomed the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept Evaluation and Feedback team.
“Training, equipping and assessment of this declared unit I see as another important contribution of Montenegrin soldiers to their country on its path to EU membership and the Euro-Atlantic structures.”, Vucinic said.
Exercise "DECISIVE STEP 02" has been planned, organized and implemented with the aim of supporting the evaluation of the unit of the Armed Forces of Montenegro declared on concept of operational capabilities, and which will be implemented by NATO Evaluation team.
Exercise "DECISIVE STEP 02", organized in order to evaluate the unit declared by the concept of operational capabilities at the NEL -1, will be carried out from 27 to 30 September 2011. Director of the exercise is Lieutenant Colonel Zivko Rakocevic, and the NATO Evaluation and Feedback Team is headed by Lt. Col. Sasko Lafchiski from the NATO Joint Force Command in Naples.
