Podgorica, Montenegro (6 October 2011) – Transport Minister Andrija Lompar and Economy Minister of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri signed today the Air Transport Agreement between the two countries.

Apart from promoting the principles of liberalisation, safety and security in air transport, the Agreement also provides for the “fifth freedom,” which implies that the two countries’ airlines can establish an unlimited number of flights between each other and use the airports to fly to third countries with whom they have signed the same agreement.

The agreement envisages the higher number of tourists’ visits to Montenegro and upgraded economic relations between the two countries.

The two countries’ Economy Ministers, Vladimir Kavarić and Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, signed the Agreement on economic cooperation, which creates the institutional framework for cooperation especially in tourism, industry, agriculture and small and middle-size enterprises.
