Podgorica, Montenegro (1 November 2011) -- Prime Minister Igor Lukšić and the leaders of Montenegro's three biggest opposition parties agreed at a meeting earlier today that full membership of the European union is the country’s top foreign policy goal.
NOVA and PzP leaders Andrija Mandić and Nebojša Medojević and SNP MP Predrag Bulatović shared with PM Lukšić their views of their recent visit to Berlin and the meetings they had with German government officials and members of the Bundestag.
The meeting underlined that Montenegro needs to make every effort to prevail upon the European Council to confirm the European Commission’s recommendation for the opening of EU accession talks with Montenegro, which was described as a valuable accomplishment along Montenegro’s EU path.
