PM Lukšić receives award for contribution to cultural development of Sarajevo

Podgorica, Montenegro (4 November 2011) – Prime Minister Igor Lukšić received yesterday the “Isa beg Ishaković” award for the international contribution to the development of culture and cultural heritage of the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The award selection committee said that Montenegro is a regional example of good progress in political, cultural and other areas, adding they are very proud that the award goes to its Prime Minister. PM Lukšić thanked for the award and said that the regional cultural heritage is a good basis for cooperation and friendship.

The “Isa beg Ishaković” award is a civil society’s recognition that transcends any political, ideological, national or religious discourse. It was founded in 2007 and aims at promoting the multicultural tradition of Sarajevo, city founded in 1462 by Isa beg Ishaković, after whom the award is titled.
