PM Lukšić takes part in Friends of Europe’s annual Summit on Western Balkans in Brussels

Brussels, Belgium (30 November 2011) – Prime Minister Igor Lukšić took part in Friends of Europe’s 12th annual European Policy Summit on the Balkans which brought together high-level policymakers and experts to discuss the economic and political issues facing the region.

Participating in the panel debate entitled “20 years later – Who is scoring well in politics and business?”, PM Lukšić discussed three key points which, in his words, are of extreme importance for the Western Balkans’ EU perspective. He reflected on the significance of the Western Balkans’ EU and NATO integration efforts, the necessity of introducing fiscal and structural reforms and cutting red tape in order to gain the region’s competitiveness, as well as on the impact of euro crisis on Western Balkans’ economies.
