Republic of Slovenia sent help to Montenegro in state of emergency

With the aim of mitigating consequences caused by adverse weather conditions which have afflicted Montenegro, the Republic of Slovenia has sent help to our state.

 

Helicopter of the Armed Forces of Slovenia, ’’Bell 412’’, which is specialized to work in extreme conditions, will be available until it is needed. It will be primarily used for evacuation of people, but also for supplying with food and medicines of those who are in the greatest need for help.

 

In the action from 14th and 15th of February, Slovenian ’’Bell 412’’ was involved in multiple evacuation actions of sick from snow-buried parts of Montenegro.

 

Members of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Montenegro and medical team from the Emergency Room have carried out evacuation of sick boy from village Strug, in Municipality Šavnik, with the helicopter of the Armed Forces of Slovenia, at the request of the Operational Headquarters for Emergency Situations of Montenegro. Slovenian helicopter was also used in evacuation of a baby and two patients from Berane. All hospitalized persons are in the Clinical Center of Montenegro.

 

Slovenian helicopter also transported food to the villages Zagrad, Orahovo and Bastahe in Berane Municipality and to village Konjuhe in the Andrijevica Municipality.
