Helicopters from Slovenia and the Hellenic Republic returned to their military base in parent states

Helicopters from the Republic Slovenia and the Hellenic Republic, which participated in assistance activities to Montenegrin citizens on 14th February 2012, today returned to their military bases in parent states. Minister of Defence Boro Vučinić, Chief of General Staff Vice Admiral Dragan Samardzic, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Montenegro, H.E. Vladimir Gasparić and Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Montenegro, H.E. Emanuel Papadogiorgakis participated at the farewell ceremony of Slovenian and Greek crews.

 

During the four-day activities, Slovenian helicopter performed 35 flights (14 hours and 30 minutes in the air), and within those activities it evacuated and transported 49 persons, while 2.830 kg of food stocks were distributed to different parts of Montenegro.

 

At the same time the helicopter of Hellenic Republic performed 21 flights (12 hours and 20 minutes in the air), and within those activities it transported  40 persons, while 2.770 kg of food stocks were distributed to unapproachable parts of Montenegro.
