Signed Plan of bilateral cooperation for 2012 with the Kingdom of Norway

Bilateral consultations between representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro and the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Norway have been organized today in the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro. Norwegian delegation was led by Capt (N) Gunnar Heløe, Acting Head of Department for International Cooperation in MoD of Norway, and Montenegrin by Major Saša Jovanović, Head of Department for International Cooperation in the MoD of Montenegro.

Norwegian delegation was informed about results Montenegro has achieved in its European and Euro-Atlantic integrations, development and reform of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, regional cooperation, and about participation of Montenegrin Armed Forces in peace keeping missions. Meeting was the opportunity to discuss about Defense and Security System Reform Project, financed by the Kingdom of Norway and other future activities in defense field.

Meeting between representatives of two Ministries was the opportunity to sign the Plan of bilateral cooperation for 2012 between the MOD of Montenegro and the MOD of the Kingdom of Norway. Plan was signed by Head of Department for international Cooperation in the MoD of Montenegro Major Saša Jovanović and Acting Head of Department for International Cooperation in MoD of Norway Capt (N) Gunnar Heløe. Plan for 2012 consists of 11 activities with special emphasis on DSSR activities and coast guard activities.
