NATO medals to members of the Armed Forces of Montenegro

The commander of the multinational Team of the U.S. - Adriatic Charter presented today NATO medals to members of the Armed Forces of Montenegro to Captain Todor Goranović and Master Sergeant Miodrag Jokanović, who are engaged in duties as advisers in section S-1 of the Military Police School Staff of Afghan National Army.

According to the defined criteria, medal award was officially approved  by NATO for the members of the units or joint staffs in ISAF mission in Afghanistan from June 01,  2003. As candidates may be nominated individuals who were under the direct command of  NATO or within national units to support NATO operations in order to preserve peace and freedom in the endagered areas.

For our soldiers act of medals awarding represents recognition of their engagement in ISAF mission.
In the operation area (new) members of the Armed Forces of Montenegro have already arrived who will, as members of the following team in transition process, continue engagement in training of Military Police School of Afghan National Army. Takeover of duties has been in process, meeting with the tasks and obligations and return of Captain Todor Goranovic and Master Sergeant  Miodrag Jokanovic to Montenegro is soon expected.
