PM Lukšić hosts first College for Negotiations on Accession of Montenegro to EU meeting

Podgorica, Montenegro (3 April 2012) – Prime Minister Igor Lukšić hosted yesterday the first meeting of the College for Negotiations on Accession of Montenegro to the European Union, a Government working body constituting part of the EU accession negotiation structure.

The College for Negotiations acknowledged the establishment of negotiation structures and working groups for Chapters 23 and 24 and discussed further activities necessary for a successful integration process.

It was noted that the Government is implementing its commitments and activities from the European agenda according to plan and that it will continue working towards successfully preparing and undertaking accession negotiation-related tasks.

The College for Negotiations meeting was attended by its members: the Prime Minister and the deputies, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, and Chief Negotiator and, at Prime Minister’s invitation, President of the Supreme Court Vesna Medenica, Supreme Public Prosecutor Ranka Čarapić, Minister of Finance Milorad Katnić, Interior Minister Ivan Brajović, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Suad Numanović and Minister of Culture Branislav Mićunović.
