Montenegro delegation takes part in meeting on Afghanistan at Chicago NATO Summit

Podgorica, Montenegro (22 May) -- The Montenegrin delegation, headed by Prime Minister Igor Lukšić, took part in the meeting on Afghanistan at Chicago's NATO Summit on 21 May. The meeting was chaired by the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen and attended by President of the United States Barack Obama.

On the sidelines of the Summit, Prime Minister Igor Lukšić met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, presidents of France and Georgia, Francois Hollande and Mikheil Saakashvili, and prime ministers of Canada and Holland, Stephen Harper and Mark Rutte.

The meetings discussed joint partnership objectives, while the top officials commended Montenegro's track record in meeting NATO agenda.
