PM Lukšić meets with outgoing Apostolic Nuncio to Montenegro Alessandro D'Errico

Podgorica, Montenegro (8 June 2012) – Prime Minister Igor Lukšić met with the outgoing Apostolic Nuncio to Montenegro Archbishop Alessandro D'Errico earlier today.

PM Lukšić and Ambassador D'Errico poined out that the good relations established between Montenegro and the Holy See resulted in the signing of the Basic Agreement, that has been approved in the Parliament of Montenegro recently.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Archbishop D'Errico for his personal contribution to the improvement of relations between the two states, which is part of the overall Montenegro's efforts to make a contribution to the preservation of civil values of its society by fostering harmonious relations with all religious communities.

Conveying greetings from Pope Benedict XVI and State Secretary Cardinal Bertone, Ambassador D'Errico once again thanked the Montenegrin Government for its cooperation and commitment to cherishing good relations with the Vatican and the Catholic Church in Montenegro.
