Minister Pejanović-Đurišić met Parliamentary State Secretary of Germany Christian Schmidt

Minister of Defense of Montenegro Professor Milica Pejanovic-Djurisic, PhD, has met today Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Defense of Germany Mr. Christian Schmidt in Villa “Gorica”.

Schmidt congratulated Montenegro on positive messages which have been expressed at the NATO Chicago Summit and commended the achieved level of defense system reforms.  He expressed satisfaction with excellent bilateral cooperation between Montenegro and Germany, particularly highlighting cooperation in the field of civil servants and military officers professional development, as well as joined participation in ISAF Mission.

Minister Pejanovic-Djurisic agreed that relations between the two countries are on high level and expressed gratitude for the support Germany provides to Montenegro on its way to fully-fledged membership in NATO. She especially emphasized Germany’s support in providing education for Montenegrin cadets at the Military Academies in Germany.

Pejanovic-Djurisic and Schmidt expressed assurances that cooperation between Montenegro and Germany will be additionally intensified in future.
