Minister Pejanović-Djurišić visited Maine National Guard

During the visit to the U.S.A., Minister of Defense Prof. Milica Pejanović-Djurišić, PhD visited Maine National Guard. 

Minister Pejanović-Djurišić met with the newly appointed Commander of Maine National Guard, Brigadier General James Campbell in HQ 'Camp Keyes'. Former cooperation was assessed as of high quality and comprehensive, primarily in the field of military-military cooperation. Also, they emphasized the significance of Maine National Guard experience, which was very useful in the Armed Forces of Montenegro reform process.      

 Pejanović-Djurišić and Campbell stated that in future period should be worked on intensifying civil-military and civil-civil cooperation, in the field of education and schooling, economics, tourism and military industry.  

Minister Pejanović-Djurišić presented the Montenegrin Flag Medal (second degree), by which the President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović  honored former Commander of Maine National Guard, Major General John Libby for significant contribution to cooperation of the two partner Armed Forces.  

Since 2006, tha Armed Forces of Montenegro have been cooperating with the Maine National Guard within State Partnership Program (SPP).
