PM Lukšić sends condolences to President Obama after US ambassador and three staff are killed in Benghazi

Podgorica, Montenegro (12. September 2012) – Prime Minister Igor Lukšić sent condolences to US President Barack Obama following the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, in which US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three embassy staff were killed.
PM Lukšić expressed his government’s strong condemnation of the attack, noting that terrorism is a major threat to international peace and is an issue that needs a global response. He noted that the belief in fundamental values of democracy which Montenegro and the US share urges them to come together to ensure that events like this do not recur.
