Foreign Minister presents Third Annual National Programme within NATO Membership Action Plan

Podgorica, Montenegro (4 October 2012) – At today’s session of the Council for the Partnership for Peace, Foreign Minister Nebojša Kaluđerović presented the Third Annual National Programme (ANP) within NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) for Montenegro.

After it is adopted by the Government, the Third Annual National Programme will be submitted to the NATO, thus marking the official beginning of the third Montenegro’s MAP cycle.

The Third Annual National Programme focuses on the continuation of key political, military and defence reforms with the aim of achieving NATO standards. The third MAP cycle begins in an important stage for Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic integration process, following the positive messages from the Chicago NATO Summit and the successful evaluation of the second MAP cycle, which confirmed the continuity of good results Montenegro has been achieving on its way towards the full-fledged NATO membership.
