IPA 2010 project implementation “Achieving the highest safety and technical quality of construction”

IPA 2010 project implementation “Achieving the highest safety and technical quality of construction”, aiming to provide closer guidance for creation of National Annexes and adoption of Eurocodes as national standards for structure execution, stared officially on April 27, 2012.

Project value is € 770,000 and is implemented through two types of contract:
Contract 1– IPA Twining, amount of € 700,000;
Contract 2 – National participation – Procurement contract, amount of €70,000.

Deadline for project implementation is 18 months, and during the period the following should be done:
1 Action plan to adopt Eurocodes,
2 Action plan to implement Eurocodes,
3 National Annex for Eurocodes 8, part 1.

Main project beneficiaries are Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Institute for Standardization of Montenegro, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Architecture, Ministry of Interior, Seismological Observatory, Engineer’s Chamber of Montenegro, Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, Hydrological and Meteorological Service of Montenegro, Geological Survey of Montenegro, Montenegrin Association of Earthquake Engineering, Association of Constructors of Montenegro.

Montenegrin partners in this project are Austrian Standards Institute and AFNOR as a junior partner.
