Government determines quota of 16 500 work permits for foreigners in 2013
Podgorica, Montenegro (25 October 2012) – According to the Decision on determination of number of work permits for foreigners, the Government determined 16 500 work permits for 2013, Labour Minister Suad Numanović told the press following the Cabinet meeting earlier today.
Out of the quota of 16 500 work permits, 14 700 are for employment of foreigners, 800 for cross-border services of foreigners and 1 000 work permits will be selected in line with the Montenegrin labour market’s needs.
The Government of Montenegro determines the annual quotas for work permits, in accordance with the migration policy and conditions of the labor market. In comparison to 2012, the Government decreased the number of work permits from 25 050 to 16 500, in order to give priority to domestic labour force without endangering European standards and principle of free movement of workers, Minister Numanovic concluded.
