Second Steering Committee meeting of the Twinning project “Achieving the highest safety and technical quality of construction”

Today, at premises of the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Tourism, the second Steering Committee meeting of the Twinning project “Achieving the highest safety and technical quality of construction” was held, with the following agenda:

1. Overview and adoption of the second quarterly report,
2. Presentation of draft Action plan for Eurocodes adoption,
3. Report on preparation of the road map for alignment of the legislation in the area of Eurocodes,
4. Discussion on above mentioned topics and future activities related to project implementation.


The meeting was attended by: Ms Joanna Gajdek, MS PL on behalf of the Austrian Institute for Standardization, Mr Danilo Gvozdenović, Assistant to the Minister for Sustainable Development and Tourism and BC PL, Mr Georg Wiesner, attaché and Operations Task Manager - Infrastructure & Transport in DEU, Mr Tariq Nawaz, MS RTA, Ms Svetlana Vuksanović BC RTA, and representatives from the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Tourism, Hydrological and Meteorological Service of Montenegro, Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, Faculty for Civil Engineering from Podgorica, Montenegro Seismological Observatory, Ministry of Interior – Sector for Civil Safety and Emergency, Geological Institute and Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro.

STE Jochen Fornather presented Draft Action Plan for Eurocodes adoption.

STE Wolfgang Lentsch presented a road map for aligment of the legislation in the area of Eurocodes.

After discussions, reccomendations and suggestions, the second quarterly report waas adopted.

It was assesed that project activities are implemened as planned.
