PM Lukšić receives award from 9th Vienna Economic Forum
Podgorica, Montenegro (20 November 2012) – Prime Minister Igor Lukšić was awarded the 9th Vienna Economic Forum's annual prize for his contribution to the economic development of Montenegro and South Eastern Europe on Monday.
Together with the Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann, PM Lukšić was among keynote speakers at the Forum's panel discussion entitled “Quo vadis Europe? Exchange of ideas from the Southeast European perspective”.
Montenegro’s participation in the 9th Vienna Economic Forum was an opportunity for the further promotion of the country’s investment potentials and affirmation of the policy of good neighbourly relations and regional cooperation. In addition, the Forum is to provide an additional impetus for the implementation of projects in the interest of further prosperity of the entire region.
The Vienna Economic Forum was established in April 2004 with the aim of promoting international dialogue and understanding, especially at the highest social and economic levels. President of the Vienna Economic Forum is Erhard Busek, former Austrian Vice Chancellor and Special Coordinator of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe.
