Communication: Regional meeting within Twinning Project “Achieving the highest safety and technical quality of construction”

Within the Twinning project “Achieving the highest safety and technical quality of construction” a regional meeting of representatives of Technical Committees from Standardization Institutes was held, with the following agenda:

1. Presentation of the Twinning Project and its main outputs
2. Brief summary of the stage of the adoption of the Eurocodes in the participant’s countries
3. Implementation of the Eurocodes
4. Areas for possible co-operation

The meeting was attended by Ms Joanna Gajdek, MS TL on behalf of ASI, Mr Danilo Gvozdenović, Assistant to the Minister for Sustainable Development and Tourism and BC TL, representatives of Technical Committees from Institutes for standardization from Bosnia and Herzegovinian, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro, as well as representatives from the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Tourism.
Mr Danilo Gvozdenović welcomed participants and pointed out the importance for future cooperation of neighbouring countries in area of Eurocodes, and Ms Joana Gajdek presented the Twining project and informed participants with future activities of project implementation.
The discussion followed, actively participated by representatives of Technical Committees from Standardization Institutes. During discussion experience and information was exchanged on current phase of adoption and implementation of Eurocodes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro.
There was a discussion on trainings and teaching on application of Eurocodes, and possible exchange of material and publication.

It was evaluated that the meeting significantly contributed to exchange of experience between representatives on Eurocodes adoption and implementation
