Office for Cooperation with NGOs translates Report on Implementation of Action Plan Accompanying Strategy of Cooperation of Government and NGOs
The Government’s Office for the Cooperation with NGOs, with the support of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, has translated into English the Report on Implementation of the 2009-2011 Action Plan Accompanying the Strategy of Cooperation of the Government of Montenegro and Nongovernmental Organisations, and the Activity Report of the Council for Cooperation of the Government and NGOs in 2011. The Government adopted these documents at its session held on 26 July 2012.
On that occasion, the Government concluded that the Action Plan, despite a significant delay in its implementation, was largely realised and required the Ministry of the Interior to set up a working group for the preparation of a new strategy that would address the development of non-governmental sector in Montenegro and the action plan for the next two years.
As to the Report on the work of the Council, the Cabinet concluded that this body successfully implemented the obligations under its jurisdiction, in particular when it comes to the implementation of the Action Plan for monitoring the implementation of the recommendartions given in the European Commission’s Opinion concerning the cooperation with the civil society.
The Strategy and the Action Plan has been previously translated, and the Office for the Cooperation with NGOs has published the strategy and the reports in both Montenegrin and English to the CD. The Report on the Implementation of the Strategy has been printed in booklet format as well.
Quoting from the preface written by Waldemar Figal, Deputy Chief of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro: “The purpose of this report on the implementation of the strategy is not only meant to provide past results—it is also meant to provide analysis and evaluation on what worked and what needs further support. This report lays the groundwork for a future strategy and provides guidance as to the primary objectives of that strategy. The report further allows for reflection and a chance to congratulate all of those involved in the implementation of the strategy.”
