Head of EU Delegation Drobnič welcomes Montenegro's dynamic European path
Podgorica, Montenegro (18 December 2012) – Successful closure of chapter 25 is a strong incentive for Montenegro's further European path, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović and Head of EU Delegation to Montenegro Ambassador Mitja Drobnič agreed at a meeting earlier today.
Ambassabor Drobnič congratulated PM Đukanović on his election to the office of prime minister, voicing readiness to continue mutual cooperation in order to maintain the quality of the accession talks. In that regard, he welcomed the Montenegrin Government's commitment to make the best possible response to the challenges of this phase of the integration process.
“Montenegro is dynamically moving towards the European Union, and the Government will make additional efforts to ensure that the quality of life of the citizens corresponds with the degree of integration into the European structures,” PM Đukanović stressed.
PM Đukanović said that Montenegro's negotiation structure is determined to pay its full attention to each negotiation chapter, adding that the activities related to the implementation of the Decentralised Management System for IPA Components will be intensified.
The rule of law is the key priority for Montenegro, as it guarantees safety and further progress in all areas of social life, the meeting concluded.
