Good political relations between Montenegro and China guarantee successful economic cooperation

Podgorica, Montenegro (27 December 2012) – Montenegro and China have established very good political relations based on traditional friendship, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović and Chinese Ambassador Zhi Zaolin agreed at a meeting earlier today.

Ambassador Zaolin pointed out that China will continue to provide full support to Montenegro in terms of its European integration efforts and further economic development. In that context, he voiced the Chinese Government and investors’ willingness to cooperate with Montenegro, especially when it comes to the realisation of significant infrastructural projects.

Prime Minister Đukanović underlined that the cooperation with an economy of enormous potentials such as the Chinese one can boost investment and development processes, in particular in times of economic crisis. The joint declaration that has been signed by prime ministers of China and Central European countries in Warsaw builds solid grounds for further cooperation, he added.
