Information on withdrawal of food-stuffs with higher than allowed levels of aflatoxin

Podgorica, Montenegro (26 February 2013) – Laboratory examinations of food for animal use have shown higher than allowed levels of aflatoxin in products of the following companies:
1. GEBI, Čantavir, Srbija;
2. FSH Komponenta,Ćuprija, Srbija;
3. FSH JABUKA, Pančevo, Srbija;
4. Hrana Produkt, Salaš Noćajski, Srbija;
5. Sto posto, Beograd, Srbija;
6. Inberg , Boljevci, Srbija;
7. AGRO GRNJA, Pivnice, Srbija;
8. Bukovica, Sombor, Srbija.
Veterinary Administration issued an urgent request to producers and distributors of animal food by the abovementioned producers to begin immediately the removal of these foods from the market and to undertake all the required measures to ensure that they are not put to use by those who have acquired it.
The companies that import these products in Montenegro are:
1. Šimšić Montmilk, Danilovgrad;
2. Popović, Nikšić;
3. Alkoset, Herceg Novi;
4. AKA trade, Bijelo Polje;
5. Bošković Company, Danilovgrad;
6. Intercop, Podgorica;
7. Ostojić MMM, Nikšić;
8. Rebra Commerc, Herceg Novi;
9. Baćović d.o.o. Nikšić;
10. DIB Commerc, Mojkovac;
11. AMI d.o.o. Biljelo Polje;
12. POINT d.o.o., Podgorica;
13. Veletex, Podgorica;
14. DUJA Commerc, Pljevlja;
15. VAG Commerc, Podgorica;
16. Rudi Commerc, Berane;
17. Jelena d.o.o., Pljevlja;
18. Inče d.o.o., Pljevlja;
19. Gradina Co, Rožaje;
20. Pilješ d.o.o., Pljevlja;
21. AGROMONT, Nikšić.
All importers and distributors are required to inform the Veterinary Administration on the activities undertaken with the aim of fully withdrawing the abovementioned animal foods, and the veterinary inspectors are checking the implementation of the prescribed measures.
Border veterinary inspectors continue to undertake an increased level of control of all foods for animal use imported to Montenegro.
The Veterinary Administration has commended the level cooperation and efficiency of the importers and distributors of milk and food for animal use, who have all shown very high degrees of responsibility in implementing the measures prescribed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Veterinary Administration, and Inspection Directorate.
