Podgorica, Montenegro (1 March 2013) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met with Riccardo Migliori, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, for talks on Montenegro's results achieved during the cooperation with the organisation.
Thanks to a long-time cooperation and exchange of experience with the OSCE, Montenegro has reached a high level of performance in the democratisation of the society and in the overall reform, the meeting underlined.
Mr Migliori said that Montenegro is a model of cooperation and tolerance in the Western Balkans, adding that Europe highly appreciates Montenegro’s progress in the EU accession process. He also commended Montenegro for its responsible and constructive role in establishing permanent stability in the region.
PM Đukanović thanked the OSCE representatives for their continued support to Montenegro and its institutions, stressing that the cooperation with this organisation will help Montenegro overcome challenges on its path towards the EU and NATO.
The two officials agreed that collaboration in the next period will be concentrated on the promotion of the European standards and on the OSCE's assistance to Montenegro in implementing reforms concerning judiciary, rule of law, public administration, local authorities' efficiency and harmonisation of the Election Law with the Constitution.
