PM Đukanović attends Pope Francais's enthronement ceremony

The Holy See (19 March 2013) – Prime Minister Milo Đukanović attended the enthronement of Pope Francais in Saint Peter’s square in the Vatican.

The ceremony of enthroning the first Jesuit and non-European pope since the 8th century was followed by around 140 state delegations and one million believers.

PM Đukanović’s presence at the reception, hosted by the new Pope, for the highest representatives of states and governments, as well as the Montenegrin delegation’s presence itself, is another evidence of the continuation of very good relations with the Holy See.

Montenegro and the Holy See signed the Fundamental Agreement in 2011.
