German Eastern European Relations Committee willing to promote Montenegro potentilas, encourage investments
Podgorica, Montenegro (1 June 2013) – At the meeting with Rainer Lindner, Executive Director of German Committee on Eastern European Relations, Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanović said that the two countries have established very good relations, voicing expectations that the committee will continue to provide support to Montenegro with the purpose of presenting Montenegro’s economic and investment potentials to German business people.
Cherishing openness to foreign investment, Montenegro’s development will be based on the implementation of major development projects in tourism, energy and transport infrastructure, Prime Minister Đukanović said. As a growing tourist destination, he added, it will in parallel initiate serious actions towards the improvement of agriculture sector and valorisation of the northern part of the country.
Mr Lindner said that the Committee will continue to promote Montenegro and encourage German investors and tour operators to further cooperation. German business communities need to recognise Montenegro as a point through which they can cooperate with the entire region, he stressed. He also highlighted German companies’ willingness to provide business practice for young managers from Montenegro.
