Romanian FM thanks Montenegro for extraordinary commitment in alleviating consequences of tragic bus accident
Podgorica, Montenegro (25 June 2013) – Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met earlier today with Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean, who arrived in Montenegro on occasion of the tragic bus accident which took place on the Kolšain – Podgorica highway.
PM Đukanović reiterated deepest condolences, on behalf of the Government and citizens of Montenegro, as well as in his own name, highlighting deep sympathy with loses of the families of the deceased and the citizens of Romania, who are strongly shaken by the tragic accident.
Pointing out to the extraordinary commitment and eager work of all Montenegro’s institutions and employees in taking care of the injured, as well as to the dedication and humanity shown by the Montenegrin citizens, PM voiced willingness to provide further support to the Romanian Government and the families of the victims.
Minister Corlatean thanked Montenegro, on behalf of the Romanian Prime Minister and all the citizens, for remarkable engagement of all public authorities and citizens in providing assistance for the victims of the accident. Special tribute was sent to the citizens who voluntarily respond to the need of blood donation and assistance in alleviating consequences of the tragedy.
Both sides expressed belief that the friendship between the two countries has been additionally strengthen after the accident and voiced readiness to take joint efforts in order to fully carry out all the necessary procedures for further treatment of the wounded and deceased.
